The English major junior college programmes were launched in 1993. The program offers three specialisms: education, business, and tourism English. Through the study of basic English language knowledge and training in basic skills, graduates of this major are able to engage in primary English teaching or general occupations with English as the main working language.

Education standard: junior college programme, two-year education system (three-year part-time study)
Education objectives: The major is designed to cultivate application-oriented professionals with foundational skills and knowledge of the English language who can work at the grassroots level.
The major has six modules: public basic courses, major foundation courses, major courses, extended curriculum courses, general education, and comprehensive practice.
