Q: What were your key gains from studying at the OUC, and what are your best wishes for the university's 45th anniversary?

A: I am Yang Bozun, a 2011 graduate of the OUC, and I'm reaching out to you from the Paris Paralympic Games training camp at the time of this recording.

My time at the Open University was a pivotal period in my life. The university tailored an English learning programme to meet my needs for international competition, enabling me to conduct interviews with foreign media in English during the London Olympics and showcase the spirit of Chinese disabled athletes.

On this occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to my alma mater on its 45th anniversary. May the OUC continue to cultivate a multitude of outstanding graduates and achieve new glories on the path of national rejuvenation. I am committed to bringing honour to our country and paying tribute to my alma mater with exceptional performances!
