Recently, the Shenzhen 7th Teaching Assistance Group for Educational Assistance in Xinjiang returned to Shenzhen having successfully completed their task.

To commend their contributions to educational assistance in Xinjiang, Shenzhen Educational Working Committee decided to confer staff in the 7th teaching group the honour of “2015 Advanced Individual Contributing to Shenzhen Educational Assistance in Xinjiang”. As a member of the teaching group, Shenzhen RTVU employee Cheng Benqiang was also honoured with the title.

Since February 2014, Cheng Benqiang has participated in the teaching assistance group for educational assistance in Xinjiang. In April 2015, Cheng Benqiang was named Deputy Director of the Infrastructure Construction Office of Kashgar University, and has been involved in the planning, designing, and construction of the university. In the two years that he has contributed to educational assistance in Xinjiang, Cheng Benqiang has strongly adhered to the work principles of “three strictures and three honesties” (referring to being “strict” in morals, power, and discipline, and “honest” in decisions, business, and behavior) and positively performs them in his work. He and the other team members cooperated to complete the planning work for the new campus of Kashgar University, which has been fully recognized by the Ministry of Education, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission, and the Education Department. Cheng Benqiang’s performance has been evaluated as “outstanding” for two consecutive years, and he has been named an “Excellent Cadre Assisting the Kashgar Region of Xinjiang”.
