According to the latest 2015 data supplied by Tsinghua University’s China Social Science Literature Evaluation and Research Centre (National Knowledge Infrastructure), the compound impact factor of Zhejiang RTVU’s Journal of Distance Education has reached as high as 5.740, and its general impact factor 4.282, rising to the first place among educational journals, and realizing an historical achievement. 

In recent years, with the development of mobile Internet, “Internet+”, the editorial department of the Journal of Distance Education has been closely monitoring edge-cutting development trends in academia, such as MOOCs, flipped classroom, microlecture, learning analytics, 3D printing, the future classroom, AECT annual conference, etc. It has put great efforts into the planning of topics, dynamic contributions, “three key points” and emphasis on research methods, academic norms, etc. to quickly increase the journal’s academic quality and impact, and successfully overtake others.”

The statistics shows that the journal’s compound impact factor is 5.740, which raises the Journal of Distance Education to the list of the national top four among all journals (over 2000) from the humanity and social science categories (the top three are Economic Research Journal 7.470, Accounting Research 6.793, Social Sciences in China 6.034).
