On October 27, 2015, the senior seminar on "R&D of National New Materials and Sustainable Development of the Construction Industry" was opened in Hefei.
It was approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China, sponsored by Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Anhui Province, and undertaken by Anhui Radio and TV University (continuing education base for national-level professional and technical personnel). More than 80 professional and technical personnel from the national construction system, colleges, and universities participated in the seminar.
This marked the second time that Anhui RTVU has undertaken such high-level professional and technical personnel training nationwide. Many experts and scholars from the construction field both inside and outside of Anhui Province were invited to give lectures at the seminar. The topics of the seminar included construction industrialization, energy efficiency in construction, reconstruction of existing buildings, new materials, new technologies and green buildings, safety and production technologies in building, etc. They also visited Anhui Yuhui New Building Materials Co., LTD, making an on-site investigation into its building industrialization production and its construction process. The seminar was presented via two forms: face-to-face lectures conducted by the experts; and field visits. Both theory and practice were integrated in the seminar. The participants were actively involved in the discussions, making full use of classroom learning, field trips, and exchanging views with experts and technical staff. The participants were fully engaged in the seminar. According to them, through this seminar, they gained an in-depth understanding of the R&D on new materials and sustainable development in the construction field. This is of great significance in updating their own professional and technical knowledge.
At the closing of the seminar, the participants were granted with training certificates of knowledge and continuing education for professional and technical personnel issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China.
