In a recent press release for the Henan Education Digitization Experts Committee and its Specialist Members Database issued by the Education Department of Henan Province, Professor Li Xiaoming, Assistant to the president of Henan RTVU and Director of the Centre for Modern Educational Technology was named as a member of the Henan Education Digitization Experts Committee. 

The establishment of the Experts Committee aims to guide and facilitate the implementation of the “Ten-year Plan (2011-2020) for Henan’s Education Digitization”, which outlines plans for Henan's education digitization, perfecting mechanisms for expert consultation, instruction and assessment in the field of education digitization, providing information support and service in macro-decision and scientific management for all levels of education departments and universities, promoting scientific and democratic decisions in education digitization, and effectively promoting the development process of the education digitization in the province. 

Professor Li Xiaoming is committed to research in the related fields of constructing cloud-based education platforms, developing and sharing of teaching resources, software system development, and computing science and technology. As a member of the experts committee, Professor Li Xiaoming will undertake expanded duties and responsibilities in the construction of education digitization in the province, put forward opinions and suggestions about developing strategies, policies, plans, and standards for Henan’s education digitization in accord with direction from the leading group working in education digitization at the provincial level and under the direction of the Promoting Office of the Provincial Education Digitization. He will also be able to provide expert consultation, suggestions, and assessment services for key projects and programmes of education digitization in Henan Province.

The experts committee is an organization of experts employed and led by the leading group for the work of provincial education digitization. It is a non-permanent academic institution with Zi Xinjian, Deputy Director-General of Education Department, as Chairman. There are a total of 87 members in the specialists database for the First Session of the Henan Education Digitization Experts Committee.
