Alumni from various districts in China contribute to the university in different ways. Its alumni have formed the university’s traditions and its social position and influence can also be attributed to their actions. The alumni are the university’s calling card, a mirror of its teaching quality, its most precious resource and a reliable force for the its development. Gong Hongwu hopes that graduates will return to the university on a regular basis, contribute ideas for its improvement and continue to support its development.

Ao Shaohua, a 1979 alumnus of the electronics major, made a speech on behalf of all the alumni. He said that the alumni association provides a platform for alumni to contact the university and to communicate with each other. He called upon the alumni to provide mutual assistance and support so they can repay their alma mater and society as a whole.

At the meeting, the Alumni Association Constitution was approved, and the organizational structure was put forward. Participants also watched promotional films on the theme of the establishment of the alumni association.
