On 15 December 2022, the final exam-work meeting for Fall 2022 was held via video conference at the Open University of China (OUC). OUC vice president Li Song delivered a speech.

He stated three requirements: first, to adhere to standards and ensure quality; second, to use information technology and the “One Network and One Platform” to enhance the examinations; and third, to ensure discipline and “foster virtue through education”. He stressed that the long and complicated processes of the examinations would require strong risk management.

Gu Xiaohua, director of OUC Academic Affairs Department, introduced the arrangements for the final exams, covering the specific requirements for Fall 2022 and reforms for Spring 2023. He said that the chief examiner at every test site is the person mainly responsible for ensuring that regulations are followed and discipline is observed.

The meeting was presided over by Jin Yan, deputy director of the Academic Affairs Department, and 14,000 people, including staff from the OUC headquarters Academic Affairs Department, leaders, personnel in charge of exams at OUC branches, schools and study centres, the chief examiner and deputy chief examiner, invigilators, and others working at the test sites attended online.
