The 2022 National Lifelong Learning Week will be held from 20 to 26 Nov. 2022. During the week, the lifelong-education platform of the Open University of China (OUC) will launch tens of thousands of quality courses for community education and education of the older adults in areas such as travel, healthcare and shopping, allowing students to improve their quality of life.

This year's National Lifelong Learning Week is dedicated to helping older adults fashion a “smart” life. With tens of thousands of online courses available, the week offers training in areas such as politics, policy, and the use of smart phones, teaching scientific living, healthy ageing, “smart” travel, and mobile-phone shopping. The Ministry of Education (MOE) encourages schools and other educational institutions to share resources, especially those aimed at rural, ethnic, remote, and under-developed regions.

During the week, several reading activities will be held to boost reading and learning nationwide.

This is the 18th National Lifelong Learning Week organised by the MOE. Over the past decade, 310 million people have participated in it.
