On 31 March 2022, the sub-committee for Agroforestry and Medicine of the Academic Committee of the Open University of China (OUC) held its first plenary meeting of the year.

Li Wei, secretary-general of OUC Academic Committee; members of the sub-committee for Agroforestry and Medicine; Li Guangde, deputy director of the Faculty of Agroforestry and Medicine (Rural Revitalisation College), and faculty representatives attended.

 

The sub-committee’s work for 2021 was summarised and the plan for 2022 discussed in the meeting. Nine members of the Academic Committee from eight OUC branches in Zhejiang, Hunan, Sichuan, and other provinces, as well as the OUC School of Life and Health, took part in the discussions.

Li Wei presented at the meeting six major tasks of the OUC Academic Committee in 2022. She stated that the sub-committee for Agroforestry and Medicine could play a better role in the construction of the Faculty's disciplines and majors as well as its overall academic development.  

Li Guangde also introduced the key tasks of the Faculty in 2022, and stated that collaborations could be conducted between it and the sub-committee in terms of teaching, construction of disciplines and majors, research, and so on, with joint academic activities held to promote these.
