The project will make use of the strong foundation of the former Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Correspondence College in education to produce international versions of Tony Learning Chinese Calligraphy, Tony Learning Chinese Painting and other instruction clips for teaching the art of painting and calligraphy. They will be broadcasted through the Chinese teaching channel of the SCOLA satellite television network and other related educational channels to popularize overseas traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. Some of the content will be publicized on the free resource module of the OUC Chinese teaching platform and introduced to foreign students and teachers who are fond of Chinese painting and calligraphy.

With the progress of the programme, the OUC and CIE are making plans to collaborate with other organizations including the China Calligraphy and Painting International University and the China Calligraphers And Painters Association to promote a unified global grading certification of painting and calligraphy, and set up a standard platform for learners to examine their learning achievements. Moreover, both parties will further their cooperation to give practical training to inter-disciplinary talents urgently needed by industrial and mining enterprises, institutional organizations and government offices.
