LI Suhuan, Han ethnicity, is a member of the Communist Party of China and a graduate of the Business Administration programme (Township Enterprise Management) at Hebei Open University. She is a deputy to the 13th and 14th National People's Congress (NPC). She was named a member of the All-China Youth Federation in 2015, elected a National Model Worker in 2020, and honoured as a " National Role Model of Women’s Meritorious Service " in 2021.
LI is a farmer who grew up in the countryside and has a deep passion for agriculture. She jokes that instead of shopping, she loves "strolling through fields," walking over 20,000 steps daily through farmland without feeling tired.

In 2018, LI was elected as a deputy to the 13th NPC. In 2023, she was re-elected to the new term. From "leading by example" to "serving as a deputy," LI feels pressure but even more motivation. What she doesn't know, she will learn what she doesn't understand, she will investigate through extensive field visits. What never changes is her original aspiration to listen to public opinion and serve the grassroots.
Over the past two years, LI has been live-streaming on short-video platforms to teach watermelon cultivation techniques, with numerous fans joining online each time. "Making agriculture promising and giving farmers a bright future—this is my aspiration," LI said.
At this year's Two Sessions, LI focused on addressing the talent, management, and channel challenges in the development of rural collective economies. She proposed a comprehensive "One Returning College Student Per Village" service system, with dedicated personnel serving village-level cooperatives and collective economic development. She also recommended that platforms optimise algorithms to establish dedicated traffic pools for grassroots rural live-streamers promoting agricultural products, and implement a "whitelist for agricultural assistance". She called for government-platform collaboration to offer free training for primary-level communities, helping enhance farmers' live-streaming commerce capabilities. In addition, she urged the establishment of transparent assessment and supervision mechanisms to prevent institutions from intercepting traffic for farmers.
