Beijing, 30 November 2025 -The finals of the 16th Beijing Municipal College English Speech Contest 2025 concluded at the University of International Business and Economics. LUO Yinchi, a student majoring in Artificial Intelligence enrolled in autumn 2025, selected and coached by the Experimental College of the Open University of China (OUC), was awarded the First Prize.

The theme of this speech competition was "Global Vision and Local Action". Over 50 contestants from universities in Beijing advanced to the semi-finals, with 10 proceeding to the finals. LUO Yinchi performed well in both the impromptu speech and Q&A sessions, ultimately ranking third overall and securing the First Prize in the Continuing Education Undergraduate group.

The Beijing Municipal College English Speech Contest is organised by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, aiming to provide a platform for the university students in Beijing to enhance their skills on English public speaking, critical thinking, and international communication, and laying a solid foundation for telling China's stories well and making China’s voice heard.
