Across the OUC system, 19 projects were qualified for the competition, six of which advanced to the finals. After fierce competition, the university secured one gold, four silver and ten bronze medals in the vocational education track, plus one silver and three bronze medals in the “Red Dream Journey” youth track. The results showcase OUC’s commitment to fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and its focus on cultivating students’ innovation and entrepreneurship.

With the theme “I Dare to Pioneer, I Know How to Create,” the competition set itself the goals of being “More Chinese, More International, More Educational, More Comprehensive, More Innovative and More Collaborative.” A total of 6.19 million projects and 24.43 million participants from 5,673 institutions across 161 countries and regions participated in the competition.
OUC headquarters has coordinated system-wide efforts. Thirty-four branches and the Experimental College responded enthusiastically, mobilising staff and students to submit 19,503 projects involving more than 40,000 participants. OUC has organised its system to compete for six consecutive years. Through the model of “promoting learning, teaching and innovation via competition,” the university integrates entrepreneurship education more deeply into the entire talent-cultivation process, enabling students to sharpen their skills by solving practical problems and effectively enhancing their innovative spirit and practical abilities.
Vice President LIU Xuanxuan and her delegation visited Henan Branch to investigate teacher development and student affairs, as well as the operations of the Henan Branch of the Seniors University of China and the provincial directly-affiliated Open University. Relevant officials from the Department of Student Affairs and Teacher Development accompanied the visit.
