The 14th Plenary Session of the All-China Youth Federation (ACYF) has concluded. YE Linwei - National Model Worker, China Youth May Fourth Medal recipient, and outstanding alumnus of the Open University of China (OUC) - was elected ACYF Vice Chairman.

 

YE Linwei graduated in autumn 2012 from the Sichuan Branch of OUC, where he got a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation (Mechatronics Systems). He now serves as chief press operator at China National Erzhong Group Deyang Wanhang Die Forging Co., Ltd. under China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH). He is also a member of both the 4th Central Enterprises Youth Federation and the 14th Sichuan Youth Federation.

His accolades include National Model Worker, the 27th China Youth May Fourth Medal, Model Worker of Central Enterprises, Outstanding Young Employee of Central Enterprises, “Most Beautiful Worker” in the National Machinery, Metallurgy & Building Materials Sector, the 25th Sichuan Youth May Fourth Medal, and the 8th Sichuan Moral Model for Dedication and Contribution.

YE has played a key role in solving critical manufacturing challenges for ultra-large, complex aviation forgings, contributing to the successful production of over 130 high-end forgings. Together with his team, he has undertaken over 60 national and provincial projects, including the development of ultra-large turbine-disk forgings, demonstrating exceptional technical mastery and writing a new chapter of “Chinese endeavour” through craftsmanship.

At OUC, YE acquired systematic professional knowledge, solid practical skills, and an innovative mindset, laying the foundation for becoming a top-tier craftsman. His achievements exemplify the spirit of “Great Craftsmen of the Nation,” showcase the excellence of OUC students and bring honour to his alma mater.
