In order to recognise outstanding women individuals, set examples for the others, and inspire women to cultivate self-respect, confidence, independence, and self-reliance, as well as to encourage them to forge ahead on a new journey and contribute to the new era by actively participating in the modernization of China, the All-China Women's Federation recently held a commemorative event for International Women's Day (March 8th) and an Awards Ceremony in Beijing.
A total of 15 students or graduates from the Open University of China (OUC) system were awarded the “National March 8th Red-Banner Holders”. Let us listen to the inspiring stories behind them.
Nanjicuo, a student majoring in Primary School Education programme at Huangnan Open University, Qinghai Branch, currently serves as the Party Branch Secretary and Principal of the Central Kindergarten in Henan Mongolian County, Huangnan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.
As a Communist Party member, Nanjicuo has always held herself to the highest standards of excellence. Since becoming the Party Branch Secretary, she has been both a leader and a hands-on contributor. Whether in teaching or management, she has remained diligent and dedicated. During the relocation of a new kindergarten in 2019, she worked on the frontline and cleaned the dust and debris left by construction alongside her colleagues.
Throughout her 20-year teaching career, Nanjicuo has gained extensive experience but remains humble and cautious, always striving to achieve extraordinary accomplishments in ordinary roles.
