ZHANG Chunmei, a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), graduated from the junior college programme of Administrative Management at the Guangdong Branch of the Open University of China (OUC) in 2015. In the spring of 2023, she enrolled in the undergraduate programme in Administrative Management at the same university. She is a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and a model worker in Guangdong Province.
Currently, she serves as Chairperson of Meizhou Wuhua Honggenran Food Technology Co., Ltd., President of Wuhua Honggenran Breeding Cooperative, and Director of Fuzhen Qiangcun Industrial Co., Ltd. in Anliu Town, Wuhua County.
With over two-decade agricultural experience, ZHANG has consistently driven the income growth in rural areas and spearheaded the development of local cultivation and livestock farming. Under her guidance, Hongshan Village has capitalised on its mountainous advantages to establish the Three-dimensional Eco-agriculture Development Model, featuring: "Fruit trees, tea, and medicinal herbs on mountain slopes; pigs, cattle, and poultry on hillsides; fish, ducks, and geese in lowland waters."
As an NPC deputy, ZHANG continuously enhances her performance capabilities through staying close to the people, caring farmers' concerns and providing practical solutions.
Her proposal regarding highway route planning received substantive responses during last year's Two Sessions, significantly bolstering her confidence in fulfilling duties. This year, she brings her suggestions on rural revitalisation and social development. "Born to a farming family, I'm committed to enriching the farmers, beautifying the villages, and strengthening the agricultural sector through dedicated efforts," ZHANG affirmed with resolute conviction.
