At the recent "2024 Beijing Role Models" award ceremony, delivery rider Liu Zhuang was selected as one of the year's awardees alongside nine others, including Li Xiaoyan, a master craftsman, and Ma Long, a renowned Olympic table tennis champion. Liu Zhuang was commended for his outstanding performance in his everyday role and his selfless dedication to the community.

In addition to being an exemplary Meituan delivery rider, he is also a student in the Modern Logistics Management programme at the Open University of China (OUC), having enrolled in 2023.

Since 2020, Liu Zhuang has rapidly risen to prominence in Beijing's delivery industry, thanks to his hardworking nature and steadfast work ethic. He not only excels in his job but also actively engages in public welfare activities. He has donated blood voluntarily on multiple occasions and, in 2021, successfully donated hematopoietic stem cells, saving the life of an 11-year-old patient. His kindness and dedication have earned him widespread recognition and acclaim from all sectors of society.

Liu Zhuang's accolade is not only a testament to his personal efforts and contributions but also serves as an inspiration to the 4.43 million students currently enrolled at OUC. His story demonstrates that as long as one holds onto their dreams and works diligently, everyone can make a difference in their respective roles and become a role model for their time!
