Before the course started, a teaching team composed by one lecturer, three teaching assistants, and four volunteers had already been established, and the course had been elaborately designed, according to the characteristics of silver-haired learners, regarding the teaching content and learner support. To help each learner accomplish a finished product after the course was completed, the teaching assistants would release the well-illustrated teaching notes for their reference. Meanwhile, before a new session began, the members of the teaching team would also make some conclusive comments on the homework from the last session.

The oil painting course served as effective practice of a small-scale offline training course, providing impetus for large scale online teaching of aesthetic education, during which 15 offline students studied with 110, 000 online learners simultaneously.
