Profile: Zhou Guohua is an outstanding member of the OUC Zhejiang branch class of 2020, a driver with the Zhejiang Quzhou Bus Group, a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and "Outstanding CPC Member" for Zhejiang Province.
Beginning at 19, Zhou Guohua has given her unremitting efforts to the bus company, first as a conductor and later as a driver.
In 2017, she enrolled at Zhejiang Open University to fulfill her dream of attending university and become more educated. There, she served as monitor and class leader, was awarded a provincial open-university scholarship, and named “outstanding graduate of the provincial open-university system”.
The No. 1 bus, which she drives, is the oldest route in Quzhou. For 28 years, she has served passengers far and near with warmth and efficiency, covering over 1.3 million kilometers in more than 10,000 days and nights. She has received no complaints and had no accidents. The service guidelines she created have been applied throughout the bus system, and her bus has been named "Zhejiang Women’s Civilisation ".
Her route, not only the oldest but also the longest in Quzhou, covers 28 kilometers and 62 stops, and runs until 23:35. Locally it is called the most "dedicated" bus service. To Zhou Guohua, a delegate to the 20th National Party Congress, having the steering wheel in hand is more significant than the job itself.

Zhou Guohua turns 47 this year, and began to work in the public-transportation system at age 19. Before becoming a driver, she worked as a conductor on route 8.

Her excellent record over more than 20 years is thanks to her quiet and persistent dedication to her job.
Buses run every day, and the work is relentless. Nevertheless, Zhou Guohua has no regrets, and considers her service a worthwhile cause.

An Active Volunteer
To Fang Qi, a young apprentice, Zhou Guohua is not only a good master but also a model Party member who serves others whole-heartedly. In her spare time, Zhou Guohua is also an active volunteer, as a hospital guide, safety educator in a kindergarten, and with the Red Cross Society.
She has been named “Advanced Worker" of Quzhou’s public-transport system, “Most Beautiful Character" of Quzhou, and "Outstanding CPC Member" by the CPC Zhejiang Committee, and is now a delegate to the 20th National Party Congress. Zhou Guohua says that, as an ordinary bus driver, she feels greatly honoured to be so trusted by the Party, and that she will continue working to add to its glory.
