Wang Juming majored in Chinese Language and Literature in Shandong Radio and TV University (Shandong RTVU) from 1982 to 1985 and is a master of arts and crafts.

He now serves as a member of the Social Affairs Commission of Weifang Newspaper Group, president of Weifang Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute, a member of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and a member of the Standing Committee of the Weifang City Committee of the CPPCC. He is a member of the China Artists Association; vice president of the Shandong Artists Association; chairman of Weifang Artists Association; an executive member and deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Painting Institute of China; vice president of the Chinese Painting Institute of Shandong Province; vice president of the Shandong Traditional Chinese Painting Institute; a member of the academy affairs commission of Shandong Painting Academy; a member of the academy affairs committee of the Chinese National Painting Academy; and the director and general exhibition planner of the organisation committee office of the Chinese Painting Festival.

Wang Juming is an outstanding arts planner and has planned eight successful sessions of the Chinese Painting Festival. The Chinese Painting Festival has become a renowned cultural brand in Shandong with a good reputation all around the country. Praised and recognised in Chinese arts circles, it has made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese paintings and the arts cause of Weifang and Shandong. The Chinese Painting Festival was awarded the National Excellent Planning Case Award by the China Planning Association and was identified as the World’s Largest Chinese Painting Exhibition by the World Record Association. Other awards it has achieved include the best inherited and promoted traditional festivals of the 2012 Festival List in China, the China Top 10 Festival Awards in 2016, and the Annual Award of China Convention and Exhibitions by the Third China Festival Innovation Forum. It also received the 2016-2017 Gold Award for China Brand Exhibition and the 14th Annual Award of China Convention and Exhibition Star.

In 2013, Wang Juming successfully planned and implemented the brand project of “Weifang of Shandong: Capital of Chinese Paintings”. The city of Weifang was awarded the title “Capital of Chinese Paintings” by the Chinese Painting Institute of China, Ministry of Culture. This was not only a glorious accolade for Weifang but also added a brilliant calling card to the cultural development of Shandong province.

Wang Juming is an excellent painter and is famous for his works that feature birds and flowers, with a focus on blossoms and lotus flowers. Having been taught how to paint plum blossoms by Mr. Yu Xining, Wang Juming is expert at using brushes and ink, combining profound traditional skills with the striking spirit of the time. His works have been chosen for academic exhibitions of Chinese paintings at home and abroad, and have been published by many large publishing houses.

Wang Juming has been active in the provincial artist association since he undertook the position of vice president of Shandong Artists Association and chairman of Weifang Artists Association. He is dedicated to the development of the arts in Shandong province and led the arts workers of Weifang in bold innovation and hard work, creating a new situation in arts work in the city. Weifang ranks at the top of the province in terms of the number of members in the city, provincial, and national artists associations, and the number and level of art works that have received awards.
