Zhao Ping is a riveter on the middle-outer frame team for airplane wing general assembly at the Components Factory of Hanzhong Airplane Branch of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). He has been honoured as a National Model Worker, National Senior Technician, Senior Expert of AVIC, and Third-grade Technical Specialist of Hanzhong Airplane Branch Components Factory of AVIC. He graduated with a major in Mechanical Design, Manufacture and Automation Specialty from Hanzhong Radio and Television University (RTVU) in 2014. 

 

 

Zhao Ping is a technical talent who doesn’t like taking shortcuts. He loves finding simple and direct ways to improve his skills and knowledge. As the main operator of several important and key working procedures of the middle-outer wings of the Yun-8 and Yun-9 series aircraft, 100% of the products he works on must pass inspection. His annual total labor-hours have always been the first at his company branch.     

He has been dedicated to the path of innovation and improvement for years, with an annual average of more than ten technology and technology innovation projects claimed per year. He put forward eight improvement proposals in 2013, and optimized one reloading technical process. In 2014, he was the leader in constructing the improvement project team of the Components Factory, while he arranged to put forward 69 improvement proposal projects, among which twelve projects were put forward by himself, two projects have been submitted for patents, and one quality improvement project has been completed. He has created more than ten sets of different tools and jigs, completed tackling technology for more than twenty projects, with several of his projects having won technological innovation awards and the company's “Five-small Achievements Award”. The articles written by him, “Technical Innovation in Jet Engine Rack Mounting” and “Technical Improvement of Mounting of Outer Wing and Wing Flap of Aircraft” are included in the book “Collections of Innovation Results of Workers”. His improvements and innovations have saved the company around a million Yuan.  

In his spare time, he became a technical tutor for young workers, teaching them skills and guiding them in their work. Over the last two years he has successively trained ten apprentices and compiled such teaching materials as “How to Deal With Mental Adjustment and Other Cautions”, “Key Points of Riveting Operation for New Workers”, and “Training Plan for Finishing Machines”. Using his own superb technique and inexhaustible creativity, he is contributing his own strength to the national defense cause. 

As a professional and technical leader, Zhao Ping loves learning and thinking, and never waivers in his endeavor to pursue modern science and technology. In Autumn of 2011, in order to take in new knowledge and enhance his own technical level, he overcame the time conflict between working and learning and enrolled himself in the undergraduate major Mechanical Design,Manufacture and Automation Specialty at Hanzhong RTVU. Facing the heavy R&D research tasks and hard production load, he scheduled all of his study time at night and during the limited time that he was off work. Even when he went out on business trips, he would take the teaching materials and the computer with him, making full use of any spare time to study by himself via network learning, interacting with his tutors through telephone, E-mail, and QQ. During his period of study, he won the 2012 CRTVU scholarship because of his outstanding performance.
