To support the development of learning resources at the university and address the needs of teachers for integrating ideological and political education (IPE) into courses, the Open University of China (OUC) has introduced the "Ideological and Political Education Resources Platform."

This platform provides high-quality teaching cases in IPE, offering teachers valuable examples and directional guidance in concepts, methods, resources, and technologies for IPE teaching reform, thereby enhancing the overall level of IPE instruction.

Resource Empowerment: Broadening New Channels for Ideological and Political Education

In addition to the digital library, the Ideological and Political Education Resources Platform has also been integrated into the "OUC Ideological and Political Education Special Website." The platform features comprehensive and diverse content, innovative sections, over 10,000 IPE elements, more than 2,000 IPE design cases, a complete IPE teaching resources library, and a revolutionary cloud exhibition hall with over 40 virtual panoramic red bases. It also includes the first-of-its-kind "Database of the Long Line of Inspiring Principles for the Communist Party of China" and over 20 specialised IPE learning resources.

Within less than a year of its launch, the resource platform has been accessed over 400,000 times (including logins, searches, and downloads), ranking among the top in nationwide university application efficiency. It has become a crucial teaching resource for many educators conducting IPE and has opened new channels for IPE at the OUC.

High-Quality Cases: Expanding New Ideas for Teaching Design

The "Ideological and Political Education Resources Platform" addresses the urgent need for IPE teaching cases among frontline teachers. It provides comprehensive teaching cases in a wide range of disciplines, including text and video content, helping teachers across various disciplines at the OUC to expand their teaching design ideas. This initiative has received widespread acclaim from educators in practice.

Diverse Elements: Extending New Methods for Teaching Integration

The "Ideological and Political Education Resources Platform" assists teachers in uncovering IPE elements and adding novelty to IPE, facilitating the extension of new methods for integrating IPE into their teaching.

The utilisation and promotion of the "Ideological and Political Education Resources Platform" will actively help the OUC delve deeper and achieve solid progress in IPE work. By organising provincial and national "Selection and Display of Construction Achievements for Integrating Ideological and Political Education into Courses" activities, the OUC aims to develop a series of exemplary IPE courses, fully implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education.
