From 10th to 11th May 2023, the Law sub-committee of the Third OUC Academic Committee convened its inaugural plenary meeting in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province.

The primary objective of this gathering was to advance the high-quality development of the Law major and discipline, while also driving the progress of educational digitalisation.

Yao Laiyan, the deputy director of the Law sub-committee, delivered a lecture to teachers of the Law major within the OUC system. A total of 90 participants, including heads and key teachers of the Law major from 41 OUC branches and schools, attended the event.

The members of the Law sub-committee and 15 teachers from the Law major engaged in a fruitful exchange of views on the construction of the Law major and discipline, as well as academic development within the OUC. The focal point of the discussions revolved around the theme of "Enhancing Teachers' Academic Abilities in the Digital Transformation."

 

The members delved into discussions on promoting the quality of the Law major and discipline, focusing on various aspects such as question bank construction, livestreaming tutoring, examination system, academic dissertations, teaching evaluation, and teacher development. They provided valuable suggestions based on their expertise. Mo Shukun, the director of the Law sub-committee, outlined the work arrangements for conducting in-depth investigations and facilitating training on thesis writing within the sub-committee.

The meeting fostered closer collaboration between the sub-committee and the teachers of the Law major within the OUC system, laying a solid foundation for promoting the high-quality development of the Law major and discipline. It particularly emphasized the improvement of dissertation quality and the enhancement of teachers' academic abilities.
