To fulfill the key objectives set by the OUC for 2023 and drive the digitalisation of the Law major alongside the high-quality development of education and teaching, the Faculty of Political Science and Law organized a centralized teaching and research event for the Law major in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, from May 10th to 11th May 2023.

The event encompassed keynote speeches, panel discussions, and the sharing of accomplishments in educational reforms. A total of 90 teachers from the Faculty of Political Science and Law, 41 branches and schools, and 10 members of the Law sub-committee of the Third Academic Committee participated in the seminar.

He Yuanzeng, assistant to the director of the Faculty, highlighted that the digital university construction project is one of the six initiatives of the OUC in 2023. Teachers within the system should effectively merge teaching practices to actively integrate the Law major into the digitalisation efforts of open education. This approach aims to better contribute to the development of a learning society and country where lifelong learning is pursued by all.

Hu Xiaoyu, the deputy director of the Faculty, provided an overview of the updated training status of the Law and Legal Affairs majors. Professor Yao Laiyan and Dr. Xue Shan presented the progress of academic dissertation reviews in the field of law and the process of degree conferral.

The teachers engaged in an in-depth discussion on teaching-related matters and put forward valuable suggestions on how to enhance the coordination of teaching within the system.

With a clear focus and comprehensive content, this seminar effectively conveyed the teaching and operational updates from the headquarters, enhanced communication among teachers within the system, and facilitated the sharing of experiences and achievements in teaching reforms. Moreover, it established a solid foundation for implementing the OUC's annual key objectives and advancing the digitalisation and high-quality development of the Law major.
