On 1 July 2014, the construction of an Information Platform for the OUC Credit Bank was formally launched and is expected to be put into trial operation at the beginning of 2015.

The Information Platform for the OUC Credit Bank (hereinafter referred to as the “Information Platform”) is an important component of the digitization construction of the OUC, as well as one of the important infrastructure construction projects which make possible the accreditation, accumulation and transfer of learning outcomes.

The Information Platform will make the core business models and processes of accreditation, accumulation and transfer of learning outcomes possible by means of digitization and make it into a highly-effective and intelligent information service system integrating the functions of a publicity gateway, the foreign service, business transactions and work management, so as to greatly promote operational efficiency and hasten the construction of a credit bank system.

The construction project of the Information Platform completed the bidding procedures smoothly on 14 May 2014. Inspur Group Co. finally won the bidding process. The project is planned to be implemented in three phases. The first-phase construction which is currently being launched covers five parts of the software system design and deployment, including the upgrading of the credit bank’s web portals, service platform, working platform, transaction platform and mobile terminal service to meet the basic requirements of the business operation in the credit bank at the initial construction phase.

The Information Technology Department and the Credit Bank Management Office of the OUC, along with Inspur Group Co., participated in the start up meeting. The parties in the construction project defined the project’s background, goals and significance, as well as the thinking behind the project construction and the implementation schedule.
