The HSK test centre at the Open University of China (OUC) successfully held its first New HSK test at the Weigongcun campus on May 10, 2014, signifying the formal launch of its test centre. 

108 people successfully registered for the test, which was held across eight examination rooms, covering four HSK levels and three HSKK levels. On the day of the test, special staff has been assigned to meet the examinees and guide them to the examination rooms.

The professional examination management, quiet examination environment and good services have enabled the examinees to achieve their best in the test. In addition, the inspection official from Chinese Testing International also spoke highly of the overall test work.

In order to meet the HSK examination needs of foreign students and scholarship students in Beijing, the OUC will hold four further HSK tests in 2014: June 14, 2014, October 11, 2014, November 8, 2014, and December 6, 2014. The test centre also plans to launch the YCT, BCT tests and Internet-based tests. 

The Weigongcun Campus of the OUC not only undertakes as the test centre for HSK test, it has been undertaking the TOEFL, GRE and AP tests for years. The test centre is conveniently- located and well-equipped.

The OUC strives to provide the best possible service for all HSK examinees. Furthermore, examinees that register at this test centre will be provided with free HSK online exercises and simulated tests at the HSK Mock Test System (http://hsk.myechinese.com/Apps/Exam/) to help them achieve success in the new HSK test.

The new HSK test is an international standardized Chinese proficiency test launched by Hanban in an effort to better serve Chinese language learners. The test is targeted at examinees whose native language is not Chinese. It emphasizes the testing of examinees’ communication abilities and their ability to apply their Chinese language skills in their daily lives, study, and work. The tests include HSK, HSKK, YCT and BCT.
