Liu Hongxia’s interests include research on the disease resistance of trees, the disease control of landscape plants, and the application of mycorrhizal fungi.
Research projects she has led or participated in include Research on Orchid Mycorrhizal Fungi, a sub topic of the National Key Basic Research Programmes; The Biocenosis of Micro-habitats of Incisions by Anoplophora Glabripennis and its influence on the Early Stages of Development of Longicorns, a doctoral scientific research fund project for the Natural Science Foundation of Beijing under the topic of Risk Analysis on Serious Non-indigenous Pests in Beijing Area ; and The Isolation and Functional Identification of the Anti-Disease and Pest Genes of Trees, one of the key projects of the National Key Basic Research Special Foundation of China.
