After preliminary selections, 535 projects from 32 vocational institutions in Beijing participated in the semi-finals, and 118 teams qualified for the finals and roadshows. All 24 projects selected by the OUC Experimental School won awards, and 19 entered the finals of the Beijing competition.

Last year, the OUC Experimental School participated in the competition on behalf of the OUC for the first time, and brought back two first-, five second-, and eight third-place prizes in the vocational-education track of the Beijing competition. Afterward, the School assessed its performance, and those of other institutions, to lay the foundation for this year’s competition. During preparations for it, the School set up early planning and preparations, ensuring adequate time and resources for the projects, along with training and other support.

Over the past year, the School has helped prepare for the competition through entrepreneurship courses, intensive training, simulations and rehearsals, and other steps.

The School has made efforts to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship into its course offerings, making it part of the OUC learning network and organising related activities, allowing students to combine theory with practice and enhancing their employability.
