WANG Hongmei, from Henan Province, serves as a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress (NPC). Currently, she holds the position of a senior technician at Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) and is pursuing her undergraduate studies in Administrative Management at Ningde Open University since the autumn semester of 2021.

As a worker from the new energy sector, WANG is well aware of the significant responsibilities entrusted to her as an NPC deputy. She constantly reminds herself to serve as a "close friend" of the people and to perform her duties efficiently.

In 2023, WANG was elected as a deputy to the 14th NPC. Representing the industrial frontline, she immersed herself in private enterprises and communities, attentively listening to the voices of the people and discerning the most genuine needs of industrial workers. She actively contributes suggestions aimed at fostering the growth of private enterprises, addressing societal concerns and public opinions, and advancing high-quality development in the local area.

"I will remain steadfast in my role, continuously leveraging my position as an NPC deputy to observe public sentiment, heed the people's voices, and gather their collective wisdom. I am committed to being a close friend of the people, truly embodying the principle of 'from the people, for the people'," WANG stated.

Last year, WANG proposed four recommendations related to the high-quality development of the lithium battery industry, the protection of intellectual property rights within the new energy sector, and the establishment of carbon emission standards for the power sector. This year, she remains dedicated to the path of high-quality development, which will spearhead low-carbon transformation through innovation, enhance the proportion of skilled talent, and infuse robust innovation impetus into the high-quality development of enterprises.
