Yu Qingyao graduated in animation with a master’s degree from the China Academy of Art in 2012, and his research is oriented in the theory and creation of cartoon illustration, and cartoon directing. He is a course leader of the advertising programme in the OUC School of Arts and Law, and the courses he led include Visual and Audio Expression in Animation, Animation Layout Design, and 3-D Computer-Aided Design. He participates and takes the responsibility of the scientific research work of several projects of the school. While he has been at the school, his individual works have won the Golden Monkey King Award for an animation group in the 2013 China International Cartoon & Animation Festival, his animation works has been chosen for the graduation exhibition of the China Academy of Art, and won the first prize of the Lin Fengmian Scholarship and his graduation works have been retained in the academy.
