Guan Xiaofeng holds a doctoral degree, and is deputy director of the Institute of Commercial Law in the School of Civil and Commercial Economic Law. He also serves as deputy director of the Financial-law Research Centre of CUPSL; director of the Insurance-law Professional Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association; and a consultant with the Complaints and Legal-support Centre of the Beijing Consumer Association, among other positions.

 

Research

His work includes Research on the Relationship between the Organisational Forms of Companies Limited by Guarantee and Bank-asset Securitisation, an article submitted to the International Summit of Company Law in April 2006; and Research on the Conference and Secretaries Systems of Listed Companies, an article submitted to the International Commercial-law Seminar hosted by the Law School of Tsinghua University in October 2006. He was editor-in-chief of the Guide for Self-directed Learning of Financial Law, published by Peking University Press in May 2007, and an independent author of Research on Legal Issues of Bank-asset Securitisation, published by CCRTVU Press.

Honours and projects

In 2001, his Introduction to Financial Law came second in the sixth Philosophy and Social Sciences Awards in Beijing.

In 1994, he led a national project, Research on Antitrust Legislation.

In 1997 and 1998, he participated in research on economic-law reforms related to China and Australia.

Currently, he is leading Research on Debt-equity Swaps and Stock-to-bond Transfers, a national research project.

 

Since 1999, Professor Guan has been teaching Commercial Law at CCRTVU, and serving as editor-in-chief and lecturer there.
