Gao Mingxuan is a famous criminologist and legal educator in China, a founder and pioneer of criminal jurisprudence in modern China, and a pioneer of international criminal-law research there.

Honours

Criminal Law (Law Press, 1982) won the National Excellent-textbook Awards for Colleges and Universities and Excellent Textbook Award of the Ministry of Justice in 1988.

Chinese Criminal Jurisprudence (China Renmin University Press, 1989) won the Special Prize at the National Excellent-textbook Awards for Colleges and Universities in 1992.

From 1985 to 1998, Professor Gao was a lecturer of Criminal Jurisprudence at CCRTVU, and devoted to the construction of the Law major there. He recorded more than 100 hours of audio and video for the course, and wrote and edited the main textbook, Criminal Jurisprudence, published by CCRTVU Press in 1993.

 

Professor Gao was named an “Excellent Lecturer” in the national RTVU system in 1986.
