Li Chengyan  is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Government, Peking University.

He held the position of deputy director of the Department of Politics, School of Government from December 2001 to July 2002, and has been a professor, a doctoral supervisor and Party Secretary of the School of Government since July 2002. He has also worked in the key social science base of the Ministry of Education as a research fellow of the Research Institute of Political Development and Government Management and director of the Research Centre for Government Integrity Building, Peking University.

Research Projects:

In 2001, he led the joint project of the Ministry of Education Research on Party Style and Honest Politics of Beijing Dongcheng District; in 2002, he led the key project of the National Social Science Fund Research on System Construction of Anti-Corruption and Democratic Supervision; in January 2003, he led the key social science project of the Ministry of Education Research on Clean and Honest Administration in China’s Education System.

Publications:

In 1999, he edited Analysis on Rural Development Policies in China published by Shaanxi People’s Publishing House. In August 2002, he wrote ‘Leadership in Contemporary Public Administration’ which was published by Peking University Press. In August 2002, he wrote in cooperation ‘Analysis on Clean Administration Policies’, published by Peking University Press. In January 2004, ‘Case Analysis on Modern Administrative Leadership’ was published by Peking University Press. In 2004, he edited ‘Leadership Foundations’ published by CCRTVU Press.

In addition, he also published scores of papers in academic periodicals, such as the Journal of Peking University. In the domain of teaching, he is mainly devoted to the teaching and research of Party Politics in China, Policies of China Rural Development, Leadership, Administrative Leadership, Corporate Public Relations, and Clean Administration Construction.
