Lan Ling, BTBU professor, is the head of the significant programme of marketing in Beijing, the discipline head of the master programme of Business Administration, and in 2004 the head of the excellent course of Marketing in Beijing. She also holds positions including vice chairman of the China Marketing Association and China Higher Education Marketing Association,

and government consultant for Haidian District. Since she started teaching at BTBU she has held posts including director of the Department of Management, and first and second dean of the School of Business. She has written six monographs and textbooks, and 47 papers, of which Modern Marketing was approved by the State Education Commission as the recommended textbook for undergraduate programmes, and Marketing won second prize for achievements in higher education and teaching in Beijing in 2001.
