Pan Aixiang is a professor at Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU). She is chief lecturer of the Management Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis and Advanced Management Accounting undergraduate and graduate courses. She is devoted to the research of cost and management accounting theory and practice issues.

She has acted as financial consultant for a number of large and medium-sized state-owned enterprises, and has visited the USA twice as a visiting scholar. She has published over 60 academic papers and over 30 academic works, translations, textbooks. She has organized and participated in many provincial-level scientific research tasks, as well as budget management consultancy, and system design and audit projects for many large and medium-sized state-owned groups and enterprises. Furthermore, she has published special reports on comprehensive budget management for groups including the National Accounting Institute, the Ministry of Finance Research Institute of Fiscal Science, the State Economic and Trade Commission and the State Council Research and Development Centre.
