Hu Jingjiang is vice director of the School of Life Sciences; vice dean of the Department of Life Sciences; and a member of the Ministry of Education Teaching Steering Committee for Basic Biology.
His main interests are plant water and drought resistant physiology, plant adversity molecular biology, and plant disease resistant molecular mechanism.
He has participated in research work for the “7th Five-Year Plan” and “8th Five-year Plan” National Scientific Key Projects, the National Natural Science Fund Project, and a number of outstanding Ministry of Education doctoral thesis fund projects. A number of his research projects have won awards, including first and second prize in the Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Advance Award.
