Sun Weiqing is a lecturer at Beijing Jiaotong University. Her research areas are mechatronics and advanced manufacturing.

She has long been engaged in teaching and research in the field of mechatronics. 

She has led or participated in the compilation of five textbooks, of which one was selected as a Nationally Planned Textbook for the 11th Five-Year Plan, and two were designated as Beijing Quality Textbooks. She won the second and third prizes for teaching achievement at the provincial-level. She also has participated in more than 10 scientific projects including those funded by the Natural Science Foundation of China.
