Jiang Zongli is a professor, doctoral supervisor and national level top teacher. He enjoys a special government allowance.

Educational Background: He majored in software and computer applications at Harbin Institute of Technology from March 1978 to January 1982, and from February 1982 to July 1984. He engaged in advanced studies in America and Canada in 1989 and 1997.

Work Experience: From 1974 to 1977, he was a teacher at the state-run Zong Kou Nong Cheng San Fen Chang School in Hubei Province. From 1982 to 2000, he was a teacher at the School of Computing of Harbin Institute of Technology. In 1992, he was the deputy dean of the School of Computing of Harbin Institute of Technology. In 1996, he was promoted to professor and was a pioneer of basic teaching at Harbin Institute of Technology. From 2001 onwards, he has been a teacher at the School of Computing of Beijing University of Technology.

 

Positions held: committee member of China Engineering Education Authentication Association Preparatory Committee Academic Board; committee member of China Education Authentication Association Preparatory Committee 2012-2013 Conclusion Deliberation Committee; committee member of the National Education Authentication Expert Association Computer Professional Accreditation Sub-committee; secretary general of the Ministry of Education teaching guidance sub-committee on college computer majors; president of the national college computer education teaching institute; deputy director of the China Computer Federation Education Major Committee; director of the Education Working Committee.   

 

He engages in research on network computing, operating systems, artificial neutral networks, and computer science teaching. He proposes to manage programmes and teach lessons scientifically, with research-oriented teaching. He is an advocate of sustainable development capacity, professional capabilities, the ability to combine theory and practice, innovation ability training, and studying taking the main role in innovation ability training.

He is the main author of China Computer Science and Technology Course 2002, College Computer Science and Technology Specialty Development Strategy Study Research Report and Standards, and College Computer Science and Technology Practical Teaching System and Standards.

 

Main Awards: National-Level Top Teacher; leader of national outstanding textbook Complier Theory; principle of elementary computer software course national level teaching team; and author of national excellent textbook Form Language and Automata Theory (Version 2). He received two second prizes for excellent teaching results, and ten provincial teaching and scientific research rewards. He received the honourary titles of “China Universities Young Scholar”, “Baosteel Prominent Teacher”, and “Space Department Outstanding Young Teacher”.
