Guo Wenming lectures on Information System Development Case Analysis and Curriculum Design

 He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1989, where he majored in applied mathematics and internet applications.

He graduated with a master’s degree from North University of China in 1992, where he majored in Systems Engineering, obtained Master’s Degree.

He participated in ORACLE’s Oracle9i training in 2002, and IBM’s UML training in 2004.

He was a visiting scholar at Dublin City University from September 2006 to September 2007.

 

He taught at the Automatic Control Department of the Northern University of China from 1992 to 1995; He taught Computer Science Department at Shanxi University from 1995 to 2002; He was transferred to the School of Software at BUPT and he is now an associate professor and master’s supervisor there.

His main research fields include Information Systems, DSS, Pattern Recognition and Picture Processing.

 

He has completed or participated more than 30 ministerial and provincial government sponsored research projects, and enterprise research development projects.

He took part in National Science and Technology Research of the 10th Five-Year Plan, one Science and Technology Support Programme for the 11th Five-Year Plan and one National Quality Testing of Public Welfare Profession Scientific Research Special Project.

 

Urban Environment Comprehensive Improvement Examination and Evaluation Assessment Indicator System and Assessment Method Study (1998), won third prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Shanxi Province.

 

Personnel Examination Information Management System (1999), won second prize for State Personnel Board Personnel Scientific Research.

 

Industry Radiation Digital Imaging Pipeline Defect Detection Technical Research and Equipment Development (2010), won second prize from the National Quality Supervision Inspection and Quarantine Central Office in Science and Technology Inspection and Quarantine, as well as second prize from the Occupational Safety and Health Association in Science and Technology.

He has published more than 30 academic papers in professional periodicals or conferences in China or overseas. Among them, he has one thesis in the SCI search and 14 theses in the EI search.

 

At present, he is undertaking one national level programme, and one enterprise research programme.

He focuses on Software Exploitation Detection, Image Recognition Technology Research, and Human-Computer Interaction Research.  
He has taught courses such as Business Management, Technological Economics, Operational Research, Higher Mathematics, Complex Variable Functions, Numerical Analysis, Database Principles and Technology, ORACLE Databases, Database System Design and Development, and so on.
