I. Training Objectives and Standards

Two-year undergraduate programme for junior-college graduates with a minimum length of study of two and a half years.

The programme aims to foster the all-round ethical, physical and intellectual development of students in relation to socialist ideals. Graduates will be practice-oriented professionals with career skills related to design, manufacturing, inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and operations in the field of automotive engineering.

In terms of political, ideological and ethical requirements, students should:

Have a strong sense of patriotism, adhere to the Party's basic policy, and desire to serve the people heart and soul. They should be law-abiding, and have a strong ethical orientation both professionally and in relation to society as a whole.

In terms of professional knowledge and competence, students should:

  1. Master the basic theory and skills of automotiveengineering;
  2. Master the testing of automobile performance as well as technical standards and specifications;
  3. Gain the ability to solve problems of automotivedesign and manufacture, inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and operation;
  4. Learn relevant aspects of the humanities, arts and social sciences, and master the relevant laws and technical regulations;
  5. Gain the ability to understand technological development and the challenges faced by theautomotiveindustry; and
  6. Gain preliminary scientific-research, technological-development, and organisation-management capabilities.

 II. Core Courses

Basics of Electromechanical Control Engineering, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Technology, Basics of Thermal and Fluid Mechanics, Principles of Automotive Engines, Automotive Theory, Automotive Manufacturing Technology, Automotive  Design, Automotive Structure, New-energy Automotive Technology, Automotive Electrical and Electronic-control Technology, Computer Basics, and others.

III. Graduation

The minimum number of credits required to graduate is 72, and students who have obtained the required credits and meet the moral-education requirements will be awarded a nationally-recognised undergraduate certificate. Those meeting the degree requirements will receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
