Beijing 14 September 2025 – The Closing Ceremony of the 2025 “Golden Age Cup” National Senior Arts Showcase & Performance was held at the Future Theatre of the China Soong Ching Ling Science & Culture Centre for Young People in Beijing, China, marking the conclusion of the six-month nationwide cultural event for the elderly.

Jointly organised by the Seniors University of China (SUC) and China Education Television (CETV), the event not only showcased the learning achievements of students from senior universities across the country but also embodied the implementation of SUC's educational philosophy of "Morality, Learning, Health, Happiness, Fulfillment." It served as a practical step towards building a ubiquitous and accessible lifelong education system. Around 40,000 senior arts lovers participate in the event, with 8,164 works submitted from eight categories of vocal music, dance, instrumental music, traditional opera, recitation, fashion design & model display, soft-brush calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting. A total of 679 senior learners from 41 teams participated in the final exhibition and closing ceremony.

The closing ceremony served as the grand finale of the national event, featuring 24 carefully curated performances.

“Golden Age Cup” National Senior Arts Showcase & Performance is a flagship cultural initiative launched by  SUC. Since its establishment, SUC has strived to serve as the "main channel" for elderly education, the "strong guide" for proactive health, and the "catalyst" for the silver economy. It will continue to provide high-quality learning resources to meet the diverse educational needs of senior citizens.

Highlights of the Closing Ceremony will be broadcast on multiple media outlets during the Double Ninth Festival, allowing a wider audience to appreciate the vibrant spirit of seniors in the new era.
