The programme aims to foster advanced technical and specialised personnel who have solid basic computer operation and computer information management and application abilities and necessary knowledge of the computer information management major and related management work and can meet the needs of computer information management and applications during the course of management work. Students should have a strong sense of patriotism and a desire to serve the people. They should be law-abiding and have strong social morals and professional ethics.

I. Training Objectives and Standards

Two-year junior college programme for part-time students to complete within three years. Minimum length of study should be no less than two and half years.

Students should have a strong sense of patriotism and a desire to serve the people. They should be law-abiding and have strong social morals and professional ethics.

Graduates of this major should possess the theoretical knowledge and strong practical abilities needed by employers. They should possess the following basic qualities and skills:

Basic computer operation abilities; Ability to skilfully use new office software; Strong ability to collect, classify, sort, and analyse information; Ability to use database application systems; Ability to manage and apply the information required by jobs related to computer information management; Ability to adapt to changes, to engage in work in similar majors, or to start their own business.

II.Core Courses

Computer Application Foundations, Network Practical Technology Foundations, Management Information Systems, MySQL Database Application, Dreamweaver Webpage Design, Information Management and Operation, ERP Principles and Application.

III. Graduation

The minimum number of credits required to graduate from this major is 76. Graduates who obtain the required number of credits and meet the moral education requirements will be awarded with a nationally-recognised junior college graduation certificate of higher education.
