Chen Weihong is an associate professor at CCRTVU (aka OUC). He graduated from the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics, the first branch campus of Peking University in 1982. In 2000, he graduated from the College of Computer Science, Beijing University of Technology (as an engineering master). He has been teaching at CCRTVU for over 30 years. He is a member of Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics, and an executive member of the Distance Education Committee of the Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics. He is engaged in the research of function theory.
He has been a course leader or lecturer of advanced mathematics, engineering mathematics, economic mathematics basics, probability and mathematical statistics, linear algebra, function of complex variables, function of real variables, mathematical statistics and stochastic process, and more.
He has conducted live TV class broadcasts of mathematics for all programmes of open education. He delivered live TV lecture reviews in Advanced Mathematics and Basic Computer Mathematics (A).
He has participated in the compilation and production of printed and audio-visual teaching materials for science and engineering curricula for mathematics students of the classes of 1984, 1993, and 2000. He has participated in the compilation and production of printed and audio-visual teaching materials for economic mathematics basics curriculum for financial students of the class of 1998.
He has led the production of the CAI courseware of Advanced Mathematics, and participated in the production of the courseware Follow Me in Economics Mathematics, which won the second prize at the 2001 Beijing Educational Teaching Achievements (Higher Education).
He has participated in the construction and renovation of the online course Economic Mathematics Basics, which was awarded the second prize at the 2004 Beijing Educational Teaching Achievements (Higher Education).
He has participated in the compilation of the following teaching materials: Economic Mathematics Basics (published by Higher Education Press), Advanced Mathematics (published by CCRTVU Press), University Mathematics (published by CCRTVU Press), and Basic Software Mathematics, (published by CCRTVU Press).
